Competition Music
The Music & Motion Studio is celebrating 18 years in the music industry providing specialized edits of music for many different purposes. Along with our other business Digisound, which specializes in mastering music for cd production and forensic audio, we have the capabilities to do many kinds of music editing and production. We can also produce the CD’s or DVD’s for you. We also have a huge sound effect library with over 100,000 effects to choose from. Some examples of what we can do are :- Editing music and changing BPM (Beats per Minute or speed of music), cutting parts out of songs, adding sound effects and mixing songs together, restoring vinyl, tape or CD to CD, and short run CD duplication.

BASIC CUT – No Sound Effects
You leave it to us to do the cut. We will mix the best arts of the song, edit to the length you require and add a beginning and ending, and put at BPM required. Cost: $55 for music on 1 CD or 1 tape. Please add $5.50 for any additional copies on CD or tape. |
ELITE CUT – No Sound Effects
You leave it to us to do the cut. We will choose best parts of song and make an extra special cut with lots of hi’s and lows to make that winning routine sound great! A beginning and ending are included. We keep a master copy if you ever want to return and make changes or change length for different competitions (at additional cost). Cost: $99 includes a copy on CD or tape. Please add an additional $5.50 for extra copies on CD or tape. |

ELITE CUT - With Sound Effects
You leave it to us to do the cut. We will choose best parts of song and make an extra special cut with lots of hi’s and lows to make that winning routine sound great! A beginning and ending are included plus 10 sound effects and/or samples. We keep a master copy if you ever want to return and make changes or change length for different competitions (at additional cost). Cost: $143 includes a copy on tape or cd. Please add an additional $5.50 for extra copies on CD or tape. |

PLATINIUM CUT
For a cost of $250 we will put together an awesome cut with one or two tracks mixed together, samples of another track in it, and sound effects throughout the cut. The cost includes a copy on tape or CD as well. We will spend as long as it takes to get it ‘just right’!. This is only applicable if left to our discretion. |
Long Cuts
• compilation of tracks either mixed together, fade in fade out or spaced on the CD
• copyright can be organised for production of these for purpose of giveaway or sale
• tracks can be edited to be perfectly phrased in 32 counts (suitable for aerobics)

Other areas are music on hold CD’s for clients, specialty mixed CD’s for specific customer requirements as well as CD business cards. We can provide your special request music on a personalized CD as well as any specific mixes you need for special occasions or events such as weddings,
funerals, anniversaries and any other occasion the music needs to be ‘just right’. Or if you want to pick your best wedding photo’s or best parts of the video film onto a DVD to encapsulate the special moments of the day we can do this for you to.
Restoring Vinyl, tape or CD to CD Basic.
If you have a poor quality old tape or vinyl record you love but is scratched and you can no longer enjoy it, we can restore it back to a good quality recording and transfer it to CD for you. Cost for the service is $99 and we will use the best tools to remove the noises/hisses/scratches but if there are more still left we will need individual processing and therefore cost studio time of $110 per hour.
CD DUPLICATION
We can produce personalised CD’s for you in house. If we have done the original production for you the CD’s will cost $1.60 each up to 100. (Min. charge $20). CD duplication only $2.50 per CD. (Min. charge $30) Set up fee $20. Over 100 CD’s produced P.O.A.
CD CASES OR COVERS
Cost depends on whether you choose paper or plastic covers, or single or double cases.
COPYRIGHT
Price depends on retail price of CD or if giveaway a standard fee depending on how many tracks etc. Cannot offer copyright for sale in retail stores. Minimum cost averages $6.00 per CD for a free giveaway CD and goes up from there. ANOTHER OPTION – we can purchase cover versions of the songs for use where large quantities are going to be sold or given away as this will substantially reduce the costs.
PROVISION OF MUSIC
Music required to put on CD’s will need to be provided on original disc or need to be purchased and charged to you if we do not have the tracks available in our collection.
ARTWORK AND PRINTING
A small fee for artwork onto our system for printing direct to CD’s will be charged. Generally this charge will be between $20 - $40 depending on the job. This is a one off cost. The actual cost of duplicating the image onto the CD is included in the CD duplication cost. If you would like artwork done for CD jackets we can provide this for you at $25 per hour. Printing of CD jackets can also be organised whether 1 copy or 500.
Price List
Please Note: The prices below are for studio time only. Additional services are listed seperately with appropriate costs included. A minimum charge of $55 is standard for all work and this is particularly relevant for appointments in our studio. All prices are INCLUSIVE of GST.
Short Cut
Studio time is $110 per hour. If you come in or advise us specifically what you want this is how it will be charged. If you leave it to our discretion you can have a basic cut $55 or an elite cut $99.
Long Cuts
Recording tracks to CD 1 up to 10 tracks or 1 hour CD time. Standard space of 2 seconds between tracks unless other timing specified, mastered, transferred to master CD $300
Recording tracks to CD 2 up to 10 tracks or 1 hour CD time. Tracks mixed together by fade in fade out method, ability to length or shorten tracks, mastering, transfer to master CD. $500
Recording Tracks to CD 3 up to 10 tracks or 1 hours cd time. Tracks mixed together. Must be the same BPM for this to be achieved, ability to lengthen and shorten tracks, mastering, transfer to master CD $650
Recording Tracks to CD 4 up to 10 tracks or 1 hours cd time. BPM’s adjusted to suit and tracks mixed together, ability to shorten and lengthen tracks, phrase the music to 32 counts (aerobics/dance), master, transfer to master CD. Cost depends on requirements. Minimum fee $1000
